The faculty and staff of Western Kentucky University’s School of Journalism & Broadcasting are proud to launch our new online news magazine. Currents is a collaborative effort across the various programs in the school to showcase the amazing work of our students. Please register and share your ideas.
If you are thinking about attending a Journalism school, consider WKU. Housed in a new $18 million building, the school is home to 6 academic programs. These include Advertising, Broadcasting, Mass Communication, News/Editorial Journalism, Photojournalism and Public Relations. Not only will you find great academic programs, you’ll find award winning organizations, like the College Heights Herald, Ad+PR agency ImageWest, and radio and TV operations where you can apply your skills to real-world projects. Journalism today is about great storytelling using multiple media. For those J majors with the right qualifications, we now offer a certificate in imedia. Imedia is about embracing technology and working with majors from different programs in the school to produce exceptional content and to develop the platforms to deliver it.
